Salary: £95 – £120 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Learning Mentor to support pupils in a welcoming school setting in Nottinghamshire (NG12). This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed individualwho wants to make a long-lasting impact on students’ academic progress, confidence, and personal development.
In this role, you will work closely with pupils who need encouragement, guidance, and structured support to re-engage with learning. The Learning Mentor role is ideal for individuals with experience in mentoring, youth work, behaviour support, SEN, or pastoral care. If you enjoy building meaningful relationships and helping learners succeed, this position could be perfect for you.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Learning Mentor:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support as a Learning Mentor to pupils who need additional guidance.
* Help students develop confidence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours.
* Support pupils with emotional regulation, motivation, and engagement.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
* Monitor progress and contribute to personalised support plans.
* Promote a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Who We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Learning Mentor, Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.
* A patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Confidence in supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
* A genuine commitment to helping young people achieve their potential.
