Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the People Directorate for a People Systems and Compliance Manager offering strategic support and expert guidance to our systems teams managing ESR, Payroll, Trust Bank (NHS Professionals), Workforce Planning, and Recruitment. You will lead on compliance, ensuring risks are identified and escalated as necessary.
You will be passionate about improving processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to frameworks and regulations. Experience with workforce systems such as Payroll and ESR is essential. Ideally, you will have been involved in job evaluation processes and workforce planning.
This is a full-time position, but part-time applicants (minimum 30 hours per week) will be considered.

Main Duties
The People Systems and Compliance Manager will oversee workforce systems and compliance across the Trust, providing strategic and operational support. Responsibilities include ensuring legal compliance, promoting best practices, supporting workforce planning, and continuous process improvement.
This proactive, hands-on role requires strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience with workforce data, KPIs, systems, and contracts is necessary.
Ideal candidates are experienced or seeking to advance their careers, with preferred experience in payroll, ESR, contract management, and KPI adherence.
