Here at the Hospice, we recruit a wide variety of roles, from shop assistants to fundraising and marketing professionals to nurses. All of our people play an important part in helping us to deliver vital end of life care to the community of Somerset. That’s why we go to great lengths to recruit the right people – this is where you come in. Working alongside the Recruitment Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new staff. You will also work across all areas of HR including records management, employee relations, and benefits administration. In a typical week, you could be: Posting job adverts on the careers website and job boards Setting up interviews and issuing interview packs Updating HR databases, including the Applicant Tracking System and the Drivers Register Managing inboxes and answering queries from staff, managers, and candidates Issuing offer letters and contracts Updating electronic personnel files Undertaking pre-employment checks, including reference requests, occupational health, DBS, and right to work. What can you expect to be good at? We are looking for candidates who: Have administrative experience Have experience of using IT systems and databases Are methodical and can accurately follow processes. Are proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Understand confidentiality and data protection. Can communicate clearly by email, phone, and face to face.
