Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation, and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - The post holder will provide a comprehensive professional support service to the Director of Global Engagement. The post holder will take responsibility for the development and maintenance of effective systems, processes, and procedures to manage administrative activity relating to the business of the Director of Global Engagement and contribute to projects within the Office of the GE Director to support the achievement of departmental objectives. - ABOUT YOU - - A good standard of numeracy and literacy, either by qualification (including GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics at a minimum) or work-related activities - Experience in the use of all MS Office applications (in particular Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint) and computerised systems, including: 1) Use of spreadsheets. 2) Preparation and formatting of documents, extracting and manipulating data across different desktop applications. 3) Taking minutes, preparing agendas and associated paperwork. - Within an office environment, experience in an administrative/clerical capacity, including: 1) Managing complex travel and schedule bookings. 2) Finance/accounts systems and processes. 3) Experience in the coordination and support of events.
