HR Manager Stoke-on-Trent Logistics Business Our client are a logistics business, offering transport & warehousing services to their customers. The HR Manager will be responsible for taking full ownership of the HR function and leading the people strategy. This will be a very hands-on role. The key responsibilities for the role of HR Manager based in Stoke-on-Trent will be: Take full ownership of the HR function and lead the people strategy. Report directly to the MD, having responsibility for building a professional and compliant HR operation from scratch ncluding performance, discipline, and grievance processes. Work closely with Directors and Senior Managers in the business. Write, implement, and maintain legally compliant HR policies and procedures. Improve employee onboarding to ensure consistency, compliance, and a great first impression. Compile accurate, compliant employee records, contracts, and templates. Introduce new performance review and appraisal systems. Manage holiday, absence, and time off tracking. The successful candidate for the role of HR Manager based in Stoke-on-Trent will have: Experience in a standalone or lead HR role. Great knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance. Proven experience in setting up HR policies, systems, and documentation from the ground up. A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels. CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience. The successful candidate for the role of HR Manager based in Stoke-on-Trent will receive: A salary of £40,000 p/a.
