Astute Recruitment are pleased to be partnering a well-known Leicester based client who are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll and HR Administrator. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being an integral part of a team and knowing their decisions really matter.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing (Monthly Payrolls)
* Maintain employee records, contracts, starters/leavers, and holiday/sick leave tracking
* Support onboarding and offboarding processes
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
* Liaise with external payroll providers or HMRC as required
* Handle HR-related queries and support line managers with administrative HR tasks
Finance Team Support:
* Assist with processing invoices, expense claims, and reconciliations
* Support month-end and year-end reporting activities
* Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
* Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in a similar payroll/HR administrative role (essential)
* Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel in particular)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
* Confident, self-motivated, and able to hit the ground running
Benefits and Hours:
* Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience
* Flexible start and finish times (Office opening hours are 8:00 am until 6:00 pm)
* 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
