Human Resources Manager (HR Manager)
Salary – Grade 6A – £39,885 FTE – pro rata £23,931. 21 hours per week (includes 3 full days or hybrid as required). Full‑time position based in Glasgow, Scotland.
Job Overview
The Human Resources Manager will be an integral member of the College Management Team. Reporting to the CEO and supported by the HR Coordinator, the HR Manager will provide high‑quality HR advice, guidance and support in line with best practice and employment legislation. The role works closely with all managers on recruitment, onboarding, training, health and wellbeing, people management, and the integration of College values and behavioural framework.
Responsibilities
 * Provide strategic HR support to senior leaders.
 * Lead recruitment, onboarding and training initiatives.
 * Manage employee relations and health & wellbeing initiatives.
 * Support the development and implementation of the People Strategy.
 * Design and deliver a learning and development program to build a high‑performing, agile workforce.
 * Act as the College ambassador, consistently demonstrating values and delivering a people‑focused service.
 * Coordinate with HRIS (Moorepay) to ensure compliance and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
 * HRM or Business degree and CIPD qualification.
 * Minimum five years as Human Resources Manager with evidence of managing wide employee relations issues.
 * Proficient with HRIS, preferably Moorepay HR.
 * Strategic thinker with operational delivery experience.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 * Enterprising, proactive, resourceful and resilient mindset.
 * Commitment to continuous learning and CPD, and up‑to‑date with legal requirements.
 * Strong influencing, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
 * Diplomatic, discreet and tactful interpersonal skills.
 * Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high‑quality service.
 * Proficient in Microsoft Office.
 * Understanding of and commitment to the College purpose, values and professionalism.
