Quality ManagerLocation: Office-based with UK travel and occasional international travelContract: Permanent, full-timeReporting to: Managing DirectorLevel: Senior Management Team (SMT)An established engineering manufacturer is seeking Quality Manager to take full ownership of Quality compliance while contributing at a strategic level as part of the Senior Management Team.This is a broad, hands-on leadership role with real authority. You will own the Quality Management System end-to-end, lead audits, manage compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the business. The Quality Manager will manage test engineering resources, act as the senior quality interface with customers and suppliers, and provide clear, data-led reporting into the Managing Director and SMT.Key responsibilities include:Full ownership of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, audits, PPAPs, calibration and NCR/G8D processesLeadership of finished product inspection and testing to customer and regulatory standardsSenior representation during customer, supplier and certification auditsDevelopment of quality improvement projects driven by customer feedback and KPI analysisRisk assessments, COSHH management, incident investigation and HSE reportingAdvising SMT on legislative changes and industry standardsMonthly KPI reporting, departmental planning and contribution to the wider business strategyWhat we're looking for:Proven Quality Management experience in an engineering or manufacturing environmentStrong working knowledge of ISO 9001 (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 highly advantageous)Confident communicator able to influence at shop-floor and board levelStructured, calm and decisive leadership styleComfortable operating autonomously with genuine ownership of outcomesThis role suits an experienced Quality Manager or SHEQ Manager looking for broader influence, autonomy and SMT exposure within a technically driven engineering business.
