The Internal Sales Executive plays a key role in driving business growth by managing inbound and outbound sales activities, building strong customer relationships, and supporting the external sales team. This role is responsible qualifying and triaging leads, booking sales appointments, preparing quotes, and following up to maximise conversion rates. With accountability of 20 House Accounts the Internal Sales Executive will be responsible for increasing the share of wallet with these customers, developing loyalty and driving advocacy.
The Internal Sales Executive has daily and monthly sales KPIs, including a target of 30 outbound calls per day and ensuring a consistent and proactive approach to customer engagement. The position requires excellent communication skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets. Meticulous attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset are critical in this role.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
* Triaging and proactivity in lead management activities to achieve monthly sales target
* Ownership of 20 House Accounts – achieving a 10% increase in revenue from these customers annually.
* Qualify and triage leads promptly to maximise conversion rates and deliver a positive customer experience, contributing to the weekly KPIs
* Deliver an exceptional customer experience through professional communications, both written and oral.
* Providing customers with accurate product/service information, presented in a clear manner.
* Committed to meticulous and timely CRM updates – this is critical for pipeline management and future marketing campaign activity.
* Develop, nurture and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
* Prepare and send quotations within 2 hours/same day of the customer enquiry/site assessment report being received. Proactively follow up to check receipt after 24 hours.
* Support external sales team with administrative tasks and internal coordination of quotations.
* Proactive outbound telesales and upselling/cross selling to drive increased order value.
* Building and nurturing customer relationships.

Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.

Sales or business-related certification (e.g., NVQ, BTEC, or similar).
