Job Title: HR Officer (Maternity Contract, approx. 9 months) Salary: £30,000 per annum Location: Tyseley Hours: Monday to Friday (two days per week working from home after probation) Description: Joining the existing HR team within a well established business in Tyseley, you will initially be employed on a contract to provide cover for 9 months however, this role could also be madepermanent at any time. Duties involve a wide range of support activities from coordinating meetings to maintaining the HR employee database to recruitment. You will act as the liaison between HR and employees, as well as creating policies, processes and documents. The role will have particular emphasis on employee healthand safety so experience in this aspect is required. Key Duties: Prepare and conduct health and safety inductions with all new members of staff Maintain Human Resources and Health and Safety files and records Support members of the management team with audits and assessments Send out useful information links to management team on Health and Safety legislation changes Source and booking training providers for mandatory training of manual handling, fire marshals and first aiders Source training courses and providers for agreed courses following PDR discussions Take minutes at investigation and disciplinary meetings when required Assist with recruitment of positions as and when required. Key Skills/Experience Required: Previous experience in a similar role Experience in dealing with Health and Safety CIPD qualified Level 5, or working towards the qualification Ability to stay calm in difficult situations Confident about gathering facts and statistics Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Good organisational and problem solving skills Ability to work accurately, with good attention to detail This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced HR Officer looking to join a great within a well established business.
