Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
- Provide clear direction and support to your customer service and export logistics team.
- Conduct regular performance check-ins and appraisal meetings to motivate and develop your team.
- Identify training needs and support professional development to ensure a knowledgeable and engaged workforce.
- Address any issues related to absence, conduct, capability, and performance as necessary.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Monitor and evaluate customer interactions to uphold high standards of service.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex customer issues, ensuring swift resolution.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance response times and overall customer satisfaction.
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations to guarantee accurate and timely processing of orders, shipments, and queries.
- Collaborate with departments like Production and Despatch to tackle cross-functional challenges.
- analyse customer feedback and data to identify improvement areas, implementing initiatives that maximise efficiency.
- Prepare and present insightful reports on customer service performance to senior management.
- Manage non-conformances as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English.
Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification/degree (desirable).
Proficient in IT systems including order processing software and Microsoft Office.
Proven experience in a customer service management role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of export logistics and international trade regulations (desirable).
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and developing a team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
