Join an up and coming bespoke joinery workshop based in North Hykeham, Lincolnshire, operating from a brand new, well-equipped facility featuring modern machinery; including a CNC machine, edgebander, and wall saw.
We specialise in the design and manufacture of high-quality kitchens, furniture custom-made joinery.. Our work includes kitchens, bedroom furniture, media walls, reception desks, counters, commercial fit-out items, and unique one-off items to clients nationwide within the property development, build to rent, commercial and private and public sectors.
The Role:
We're looking for a reliable, practical, and hands on Labourer & Driver to support our workshop team and help keep production running smoothly, both inside the workshop and out on the road.
This is a varied and physical role involving a mix of general labouring, workshop upkeep, stock and materials handling, and local/nationwide delivery driving. You'll be a key support to the production team, foreman and machine operators, helping maintain an organised, clean, and efficient workspace while ensuring goods are safely handled and delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organising and managing stock in storage and on the shop floor
* Preparing and cleaning tools, workstations, and machinery
* Sweeping and cleaning the workshop daily
* Loading materials (boards) onto CNC machines, racks, and benches
* Assisting with cabinet assembly and edgebanding tasks when required
* Wrapping and protecting all finished products ahead of delivery
* Assisting with van loading for scheduled deliveries
* Delivering products to clients nationwide, ensuring safe unloading and correct paperwork is signed
* Carrying out basic vehicle checks and keeping vans clean and road-ready
* Supporting the foreman with quality checks and workshop upkeep
* Any other general labouring duties required to support workshop production
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in a workshop, construction or labouring environment preferred
* Full clean UK driving licence required
* Good level of physical fitness and a hands-on attitude
* Reliable, punctual, and organised
* Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions clearly
* Comfortable with occasional nationwide driving
* Experience driving forklift, but not necessary
