Are you a hardworking and reliable individual looking for a stable contract role in Midlothian? We are currently seeking a general labourer to join our team on a large-scale, busy new build housing development in Dalkeith.
The Role and Responsibilities:
As a key member of the site team, you will be responsible for ensuring the site remains safe, tidy, and efficient. Your duties will include:
Site Maintenance: Clearing debris, sweeping plots, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Trade Support: Assisting skilled trades (bricklayers, joiners, etc.) by moving materials and helping where required.
Material Handling: Safely unloading delivery vehicles and distributing materials across the site.
Welfare & Safety: Ensuring walkways are clear and site facilities are maintained.
Compliance: Following all site Health & Safety regulations and instructions from the Site Manager.
Essential Requirements:
A valid CSCS card is mandatory.
Previous experience working on a busy construction site (new build housing experience is a major advantage).
Must be physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
Excellent punctuality and a reliable work ethic.
Must have your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): hard hat, high-vis, and steel toe cap boots.
