We are currently recruiting an Experienced Learning Mentor/Learning Support Assistant in NW10 to join a supportive and inclusive primary school. This full-time role focuses on targeted SEMH and behaviour support for pupils in Key Stage 2 (KS2) and offers a competitive daily rate. Pay: Competitive Schedule: Monday to Friday, Term-Time Only (8:30am–3:30pm) Start: September 2025 (Virtual interviews taking place next Monday) Role Summary: As a Learning Mentor, you will: Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with trauma-informed approaches Foster emotional resilience, self-regulation, and positive peer interactions Build trusted relationships and be a consistent, calming presence in the classroom Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers and other staff to deliver personalised support plans We are looking for candidates who: Have proven experience working with children with SEMH needs Are confident managing behaviour and de-escalating challenging situations Understand the principles of trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware practice Are calm, empathetic, and able to set clear boundaries Hold an Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willing to apply) Must complete full registration before being submitted for interview This role is ideal for experienced Learning Mentors with a background in: SEMH and Behaviour Support Alternative Provision or Inclusion Units Youth Work, Social Care or Therapeutic Education KS2 or Primary SEN settings
