MHP Food UK Limited is looking to recruit a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quality Manager to join our team. The role focuses on supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing management of food safety and quality systems across our operations in the UK. This position plays a vital role in maintaining high standards in product quality and safety, as well as in ensuring regulatory compliance and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Functional Responsibilities:
* Implementation and maintenance of the food safety and quality management system within the activities of the representative office:
-development and implementation of the Quality and Safety Policy;
-development and implementation of the Quality Manual;
-development and implementation of the Internal and External Communication Procedure;
-development and implementation of the Complaints and Claims Handling Procedure;
-development and implementation of the Product Traceability and Recall Procedure;
-development and implementation of the Supplier Management Procedure (warehouses, laboratories, disposal of non-compliant products);
-support in the development and implementation of the Personnel Training Procedure.
* Communication with clients and MHP HQ Quality regarding product quality and safety issues and complaints.
* Conducting investigations following the identification of complaints.
* Acceptance and annual assessment (audits) of product storage warehouses.
* Communication with government authorities.
* Organisation and supervision of laboratory testing within the framework of internal investigations related to complaints.
* Visual inspection of products upon request from a client/partner.
* Monitoring the disposal process of non-compliant products.
* Continuous monitoring of the 3rd Party production to ensure their compliance with MHP Standards.
* Advising Departments and Management in field of product quality and safety.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
* 1–3 years of experience in a food quality assurance or regulatory role, ideally in the poultry or convenience food sector.
* Knowledge of food safety systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO and regulatory requirements.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an asset.
* Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with quality management systems.
* Willingness to travel occasionally for audits, inspections, or meetings.
