You will be joining a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor based in Birmingham recognised for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Midlands region. This is a full-time permanent position based in the Solihull area.
Your new role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day management and delivery of civil engineering works on site. Leading from the front, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards, while driving productivity and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all on-site civils activities, including earthworks, drainage, concrete and infrastructure works
2. Leading and supervising site teams, engineers and subcontractors
3. Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards
4. Coordinating works in line with the programme and resolving any delivery challenges
5. Reviewing and implementing RAMS, ITPs and project documentation
6. Maintaining high standards of quality control and site reporting
7. Liaising with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
8. Proven experience as a Site Manager within heavy civils, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects
9. Sound technical knowledge of civil engineering works (earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete and foundations)
10. Track record of successfully managing teams and coordinating site activities
11. Excellent leadership,munication and organisational skills
12. CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid and a full UK driving licence.
