Site Manager - Wyke Regis Church of England Junior School
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, multi-skilled and organised Site Manager to join our federation. You will be responsible for the day-to-day security, safety, cleanliness and general maintenance of the school. This role is varied and includes all aspects of premises management, health & safety compliance and line management of the cleaning teams. There is an element of lone working in this role. Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. Working pattern to be negotiated with the successful candidate. 25 days annual leave to be taken during school holiday periods.
* Being the primary key holder, locking and unlocking the premises
* First responder to alarm/fire call outs or other emergencies outside of school hours (overtime paid accordingly)
* Project support – consulting with contractors to organise unplanned and scheduled works and ensuring works are completed to the required standard
* Management, ordering and safe storage of cleaning materials (COSHH)
* Responsibility for Health & Safety duties and compliance reports
* Responsible for regular checking and operation of systems such as heating, lighting and security
A comprehensive range of DIY skills (routine painting and decorating, gardening, general maintenance and repairs) will also be part of the role.
The Successful Candidate Will
* Have experience in grounds projects (desirable)
* Be a valued team member and able to use own initiative
* Adhere to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
* Possess a good standard of education (e.g., GCSE Maths and English grade 5/C or above or equivalent)
* Have good timekeeping
* Understand the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the school's safeguarding and child protection policy
