Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking for your next career move?
HMP Millsike is looking for an HR professional to partner the onsite management team and manage the day-to-day delivery of the People team at HMP Millsike.
As the onsite HR Manager, you will work closely with line managers, supporting the full employee lifecycle. Working closely with the Senior People Business Partner you will drive HR initiatives to ensure alignment between business objectives and HR strategies.
You will have responsibility for maintaining the annual resourcing plan, analysing attrition data and recruitment forecasting. Oversee high volume recruitment for operational roles, management of Assessment Centres and onboarding ensuring the candidate journey is delivered to a high standard.
In addition to:
1. Support and develop line mangers by training and coaching on internal Mitie HR processes.
2. In conjunction with the wider Mitie People team provide oversight and guidance on ER case management.
3. Be accountable for developing and nurturing talent and develop succession plans across HMP Millsike.
4. Manage compliance, working with right to work teams.
5. Build and maintain working relationships with Security Vetting teams. Monitor and review vetting levels to ensure compliance with HMPPS standards.
6. Monitor and evaluate people data and management information to assist with compilation of monthly people reports to both internal and external stakeholders
7. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across Millsike.
8. Coach the management team to develop a culture with colleagues across functions supporting on mental health, occupational health, and employee welfare matters and initiatives.
9. Enable employee engagement and communication with all employees to drive improvement of morale and engagement survey results, including action planning.
10. Work with Wellbeing Manager to promote colleague wellbeing such as team building events, Health Promotion Days, community events and charity events.
11. Develop and maintain communications and working relationships with key stakeholders across the Mitie Business
What we are looking for:
You will be an experienced HR professional working at advisory level, with the ability to work within a high volume and fast paced business and re-prioritise regularly. As well as:
12. Demonstrate proficiency using a suite of M tools including MS Teams, Sharepoint and SAP.
13. Resilient, with ability to influence key decision makers and challenge when necessary.
14. Ability to drive the HR agenda with line managers.
15. Confident and articulate communicator.
16. Strong commitment to customer service; able to quickly establish credibility and build rapport and trust.
17. Ability to deliver information to managers that may be difficult and challenging.
18. Ability to make own decisions and see them through to conclusion.
19. Knowledge of employment law and best practice.
20. Experience of managing high volume recruitment and Assessment Centres.
21. Ability to deliver HR training on a range of subjects to varying abilities.
22. CIPD level 5 qualified or equivalent relevant experience
