We’re Hiring: HR Manager
Hybrid – Leek, Staffordshire (2–3 days per week on-site at our factory) | Full-time | B-Corp Certified | Healthcare/Nutrition Sector
We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially minded HR Manager to partner with two brilliant, fast-moving teams operating across different environments:
* an on-site factory team in Leek (2–3 days per week), and
* a fully remote, globally distributed workforce.
This is a hybrid role offering flexibility while maintaining a strong on-site presence where it matters most. You’ll balance operational HR delivery with strategic input, ensuring policies, processes, and people practices are legally compliant, scalable, and genuinely engaging. You’ll be a trusted advisor to leaders, a go-to for employees, and a key driver of our ambition to be an employer of choice.
The HR Team consists of the HR Manager and two direct reports; a Senior HR Administrator and Office Administrator.

What You’ll Do:
As HR Manager, you’ll take ownership across the full HR lifecycle, including:
Employee Relations & Advisory
* Act as a first point of contact for employees alongside HR Administrators
* Provide expert HR advice to managers on ER, performance, attendance, and complex casework
Recruitment, Retention & Workforce Planning
* Lead end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding
* Develop workforce plans aligned to business and departmental needs
HR Operations, Compliance & Governance
* Ensure HR policies, processes, and document controls meet current employment legislation, GDPR, and ISO 9001
* Maintain accurate personnel and training records
* Oversee HR administration, timekeeping, weekly & monthly payroll coordination ensuring accurate information is provided to the Payroll Manager, and benefits
Performance, Reward & Development
* Support performance management, OKRs, reviews, and bonus processes
* Partner with the Group Head of Internal Operations and Talent on learning, development, and career growth initiatives
* Contribute to pay and reward strategy, including annual reward statements
Engagement, Culture & Change
* Drive employee engagement initiatives across on-site and remote teams
* Lead by example, role-modelling company values and professional standards
* Support HR projects, working parties, and continuous improvement initiatives
Data, Systems & Insight
* Leverage HRIS platforms and digital tools (Microsoft 365 / Teams)
* Analyse and report HR data to support benchmarking, strategy, and decision-making
Leadership & Delivery
* Line manage and support HR team members and partners
* Manage delegated budgets, contracts, and third-party providers
* Proactively identify and manage people-related risk
What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Knowledge
* CIPD qualified
* 5+ years’ HR experience, including at least 2 years in a Business Partner or equivalent role
* Experience of working in multi-site and hybrid or remote setting
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
* Strong IT literacy across Microsoft 365 & Teams
* Project management capability and experience influencing senior stakeholders
* Experience across HRIS platforms, and digital collaboration tools
* Proven experience improving employee relations, engagement, and performance

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complexity into clear, practical solutions
