Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. Level 2 food hygiene preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate will ensure that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety, however full training will be provided.
As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious nutritious meals for the children while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment and maintaining our 5* hygiene rating.
This post will be for 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during food preparation and cooking processes.
* Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
* Maintain an organised kitchen by keeping workstations clean and ensuring all utensils and equipment are properly stored.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service during busy periods.
* Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
* Completing HACCP paperwork daily
* prepare a 2 course meal daily as well as morning and afternoon snack
Requirements
* Level 2 food hygiene preferred but not essential
* previous experience is preferred but not essential

Pay: Up to £12.58 per hour
