The role
You’ll sit at the heart of food safety, quality, and supplier performance, making sure products are safe, compliant, consistent, and ready for market. It’s a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be closely involved in both day-to-day technical management and product development activity.
Key responsibilities
* Support supplier onboarding and ongoing compliance management
* Investigate complaints and out-of-spec results, identifying root cause and driving corrective action
* Work with suppliers to improve product quality and reduce recurring issues
* Oversee product testing, shelf-life validation, and sensory assessments
* Support NPD/EPD projects from concept through to launch, including trials and first productions
* Write and maintain accurate product specifications
* Review and approve packaging artwork and labelling for compliance and brand alignment
About you
* Experience in a food technical / quality / food safety role within FMCG or food manufacturing/retail
* Confident managing suppliers and handling technical investigations
* Strong understanding of food safety standards (BRCGS experience desirable)
* Experience supporting NPD in a fast-paced environment
* Detail-focused, proactive, and comfortable working cross-functionally
