Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Roofers Labourer to support our roofing team in various construction projects. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation, installation, and maintenance of roofing systems, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the construction industry, working alongside skilled tradespeople. Responsibilities
* Assist with the setup and organisation of work sites, including handling materials and tools
* Support roofers with lifting and manoeuvring heavy materials and equipment
* Prepare surfaces and areas for roofing installation or repairs
* Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively under supervision
* Follow schematics and technical drawings to aid in installation processes
* Assist with fabrication and cutting of materials as required
* Support with masonry, carpentry, plumbing, or welding tasks as needed on-site
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
* Aid in the loading and unloading of materials from lorries or storage areas
Requirements
* Previous experience or knowledge of construction, roofing, or related trades is advantageous but not essential
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques
* Basic understanding of schematics or technical drawings is desirable
* Willingness to learn welding, plumbing, masonry, or carpentry skills on-site
* Good physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
* Strong team player with good communication skills
* Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory
