Overview
Site Manager with travel. We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our Environment Business Division, working on the Southern Water Framework. This role is primarily based in the Southampton area on a major cross-country pipeline project. This is an exciting, high-profile scheme where your contribution will directly influence outcomes for communities and the environment.
What you will be doing
As a key member of the project team, you will take ownership of day-to-day site delivery, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality execution of works. Your responsibilities include:
* Leading general site management and delivering the programme to plan.
* Ensuring full compliance with HS&E and quality standards.
* Maintaining accurate site diaries and project documentation.
* Building strong relationships with subcontractors, stakeholders and the internal team.
* Weekly and monthly reporting to keep progress and performance on track.
* Overseeing a section of works, including supervising the site team and supply chain.
* Ensuring RAMS, permits, inductions and safety briefings are delivered effectively.
* Completing daily, weekly and monthly inspections to BMS requirements.
* Managing and updating QA documentation and ITPs.
About you
You will bring experience, leadership and a proactive mindset to the project. The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven, demonstrable experience working at Site Manager level.
* Industry qualifications such as HNC/HND or higher.
* Strong engineering/construction knowledge.
* Good understanding of relevant legislation, standards and CDM requirements.
* Experience within water/wastewater treatment or similar engineering sectors.
* Confident IT skills, including Excel and document management systems.
* Strong communication, problem-solving and people-management capabilities.
* Relevant certifications: CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, IOSH (Environmental or equivalent).
