Site Manager St Asaph Up to 55k Job responsibilities: Ensure that highest possible safety standards are maintained at all times and that the appropriate safety culture is developed on site. Manage the site team - supervise and develop site staff and ensure competency of individuals to carry out delegated duties. Manage and co-ordinate all site activities. Establish and monitor key programme activities, manage programme risk and re-scheduling responsibilities Provide all necessary progress reports for internal and external reporting functions. Control all aspects of interface with general public and external authorities. Coordinate with the design team to ensure timely receipt of approved construction information, enabling construction to proceed safely and without delay. Identify and manage third party involvement. Close out all issues raised by safety, quality and environmental reports and audits. Ensure all necessary method statements and risk assessments are appropriate and in place in advance of the works and that all work is carried out strictly in accordance with these documents Attend/chair/minute all necessary internal and external meetings. Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role. Comply with Company rules, policies and procedures at all times. Carry out any other reasonable tasks which may be required from time to time and to enable the company to remain adaptable to changing markets and needs. Skillset required: Water Sector Expertise: Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale clean and/or wastewater treatment or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with water industry standards and frameworks, including WIMES, DWI, and EA requirements. Construction & Technical Competence: Proven ability to manage complex site works involving civils, mechanical and electrical interfaces. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, temporary works, and setting out. Leadership & People Management: Confident leader with experience managing site teams and subcontractors. Capable of driving performance and holding others to account. Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and responsibilities, with working knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and policies. Capable of implementing safe systems of work, promoting a positive safety culture, and ensuring compliance on site through practical leadership. Commercial & Programme Awareness: Familiar with NEC Option A (or similar) contracts, earned value, cost control, and reporting. Able to contribute meaningfully to programme planning and management. Design Coordination: Experience managing construction based on detailed design outputs, with a proactive approach to resolving design issues and managing change. IT & Systems Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office Strong communication & stakeholder engagement, client reporting and managing expectations.
