The role
HR People Administrator
Based in Bolton, BL1
Full Time | 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP | Fixed Term Contract | 3-6 Months
Offering £12.82 per hour | Paid weekly, every Friday
An organisation based in Bolton is seeking an experienced HR Administrator to provide interim support during the implementation of a new HR system.
The Role
This is a hands-on administrative role within a busy People/HR team, supporting key activities across the employee lifecycle. A major focus initially will be ensuring employee data and documentation are accurately transferred into a new HR system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Uploading and cleansing employee records within the HR system
- Supporting onboarding processes for new starters
- Managing pre-employment checks including references and DBS checks
- Assisting with general HR administration (letters, documentation, ad hoc tasks)
- Maintaining accurate, confidential employee records
- Supporting wider People team activities as required
These duties align with core responsibilities such as HR system data management, onboarding administration, reference and DBS processing, and general administrative support.
About You
We're looking for someone who is highly organised and detail-oriented, with previous experience in an HR or recruitment administration role.
You will ideally have:
- Experience using HR systems or recruitment/ATS platforms
- Strong data accuracy and administration skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence handling sensitive and confidential information
- Good IT skills (e.g. Word, Excel)
- Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
Hours & Start Date
- Immediate start preferred
- Ideal preference would be Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm but flexible working hours available ie; earlier or later start/finish times
- Option for 37.5 hours to be condensed into a 4-day working week if preferred
