We're looking for an experienced Food Safety and Quality Manager to join a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG manufacturing site! This role would suit an experienced Technical Manager / Senior Quality Manager and offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of the Senior Leadership Team, where you'll not only drive operational compliance but also shape the quality culture across the site. You'll work closely with key stakeholders to uphold and exceed industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Be a positive quality culture influencer across the site leadership team. - Own and drive compliance with all quality, food safety, environmental, customer, and legislative requirements. - Lead microbiological investigations and collaborate with R&D to implement best practice. - Manage quality incidents through structured root cause analysis and effective CAPA implementation. - Lead the Quality Committee and quality-focused continuous improvement programmes. - Drive employee engagement through training, coaching, and development across all levels. - Ensure audit readiness for internal, external, and certification bodies (e.g BRC). - Lead the HACCP team, ensuring systems are robust and up to date. - Generate and present Quality KPIs and performance reports to SLT. - Support NPD, R&D and product launches with risk assessments and proactive quality guidance. - Manage customer complaints investigations and resolutions. What will the business need from you? - Degree or equivalent in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline. - Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality or Technical Manager role, preferably within food or beverage FMCG. - Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and inspire teams. - Strong communication and influencing skills-able to work cross-functionally and lead from the front. - Deep knowledge of HACCP, BRC, GMP, and relevant food safety legislation. - Comfortable working with automation systems, Clean-In-Place (CIP) processes, and fast- moving production lines. - Desirable: Food microbiology background and familiarity with GLP and lab standards.
