Cover-More Travel Insurance is Australia’s leading travel insurance and assistance provider and has protected Aussie travellers since 1986. Cover-More provides travel insurance through many well-known travel, airline, banking and retail brands and also direct to customers via covermore.com.au. We help safeguard travellers from the unexpected, and support them when medical, travel or security emergencies arise. We are here for our customers before, during and after they travel away from home, helping them feel safe, protected, and cared for every step of their journey. What you’ll be doing: Step into an instrumental role, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and shape meaningful, long-term impact. Execute full lifecycle software development Write well designed, testable, efficient code Integrate software components into a fully functional software system Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live Comply with project plans and industry standards What skills and experience you’ll bring on this journey: 8 years of experience in front-end software development, with a focus on scalable web applications (desirable) Computer Science or related degree, with a significant programming component Advanced proficiency in React.js and its ecosystem Strong experience with Tailwind CSS and modern styling techniques Deep understanding of JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, and CSS3 Familiarity with software design principles and architectural patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, component-based architecture) Extensive experience in defining and implementing robust testing strategies that uphold code quality, system reliability, and long‑term maintainability Collaborates effectively with designers, product owners, and backend engineers to deliver complete end‑to‑end features Demonstrated ability to own complex technical challenges, make sound architectural decisions, and drive solutions through to successful delivery Why you’ll love working with us!
