School Site Manager - Canterbury
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: £14+ per hour

Academics are currently seeking a full-time School Site Manager to join a welcoming school in Canterbury. This is a practical, hands-on role with leadership responsibilities, ideal for someone with a background in caretaking, facilities, or site management within a school or similar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily opening, closing, and overall security of the school site
Manage general maintenance, repairs, and the upkeep of buildings and grounds
Carry out routine health and safety checks, ensuring full compliance
Supervise site staff, contractors, and cleaning teams
Prepare rooms and facilities for lessons, events, and school functions
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented school environment
Provide ad-hoc support to staff with site-related needs
Implement and uphold site procedures and operational standards
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience in a site manager, caretaker, or facilities role (desirable)
Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing staff or contractors
A proactive, hands-on approach with good problem-solving ability
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations
The ability to work independently and use initiative
