We are currently recruiting for an Staff officer in Belfast. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork, ANI clearance has been completed.
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Rate of pay: £19.59
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative role to support DP within the Race Relations and Integration Division. Role to include tasks such as: • First drafting of briefing for Ministers, senior officials as required. • First drafting of AQWs, AQOs and COR cases. • Facilitate (and in some cases represent TEO at) meetings, events, conferences as required. • Fact finding and information provision to DP and thus G7 to enable progression of work. • Engagement with officials in other departments to raise issues and seek information for draft documents.
Essential Criteria applicants must have:
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
• Good communication skills (oral and written) and ability to communicate accurately and effectively.
• Good drafting and note taking abilities to assist at meetings and preparing briefings/correspondence.
Qualifications:
Degree (in any subject) preferable but not essential
Proof of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths grade C or above or the equivalent to this.
Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to use own initiative.
• Knowledge of NICS systems including Content Manager, HR Connect, Account NI
• Knowledge of NI Assembly and Ministerial process and procedures.
• Experience of analysing and interpreting information.
