Food Technologist (NPD) based in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, UK
About the Role:
You will support the growth and sustainability of the business through the design and development of products, ensuring production is implemented in an optimal way, maximising satisfaction of consumer and customer needs, and achieving this in the most efficient way for the Company, improving quality and food safety.
Key responsibilities:
You will manage the end-to-end development of sweet and savoury products, from concept through to launch, in a fast-paced and innovative environment. This includes ensuring all factory and quality requirements are met, adhering to technical best practices, and maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, legality, and customer requirements.
About you:
You will have previous experience of working within a similar role and hold a qualification in food science, food technology or similar.
Other key attributes include:
* Understanding of food science, product development processes, and laboratory testing methods. Proven experience in nutritional analysis.
* Ability to maintain accuracy in documentation, specifications, and testing.
* Competence in interpreting data from sensory and laboratory analyses.
* Ability to manage tasks within timelines and budgets.
* Clear and professional interaction with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Strong collaborative approach to achieve shared objectives.
* Ability to identify and address challenges during development and scale-up.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems
* Familiarity with HACCP, health and safety, and legal compliance requirements.
