Overview
We currently are recruiting for a leading independent timber merchant; they have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join their Sales Team to be based at their Head Office in Kings Lynn.
Competitive salary offered depending on experience.
Hours will be 7.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
* Self-generate and build commercial opportunities by converting these into revenue for the business.
* Maintain a proactive sales approach by implementing and following the strategic sales plan.
* Influence and negotiate prices to capitalise on commercial opportunities.
* Maintain a level of proactive telephone and face-to-face contact with prospective customers.
* Offer initial solution overview and help identify customer goals/challenges.
* Research local opportunities and ensure all quotations are followed up when necessary.
* Ensure all orders received are entered into the internal system accurately.
* Ensure that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion.
* Purchasing when required.
* Hit or exceed monthly sales targets.
* Generate excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the achievement of business strategy and goals.
* Serve customers on our trade counter during peak times.
* Pick orders for collection.
What we are looking for
* Previous experience in a field sales role with exceptional attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A team player who can work well under pressure and to demanding deadlines.
* Versatile and flexible in approach.
* A good knowledge or background in timber products.
* Prepared to work on a Saturday morning according to our weekend rota.
* A can do attitude.
