The Role’s Purpose and Value
The Senior Manager for our People Team promotes the execution of the overall People strategy, while directing the day-to-day HR operations across Talogy. The primary areas of focus include talent management, employee relations, change management, organizational and performance management, and compensation and benefits. This role also works integrally with partners for L&D, HRIS and payroll. The individual in this role must have a clear understanding of the business and be able to devise and implement policies which enable us to select, develop and retain the right staff to meet/exceed business objectives.
This role is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours to support people in all time zones globally. This role can be performed remotely.
Core Skills and Responsibilities
The daily impact of this role is characterized by (though not limited to) the following core skills and tasks:
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the global Business Partner (2 FTE) and Talent Acquisition (2 FTE) functions across Talogy.
* Partner with the Talogy leadership team and managers on problem solving, dispute resolution, grievances, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.
* Comfortable operating autonomously on a strategic as well as operational level in a strong team.
* Partner with external counsel on employee relations issues and restructures from time to time.
* Provide a listening ear to employees with job-related concerns and personal issues, recommending solutions as appropriate.
* Manage, coach, train and develop the team members in their charge, i.e. the People Operations business partners and recruiters.
* Cooperate with and provide support to other senior leadership team members to report and understand their people related revenue/cost, workforce planning and organisational structures.
* Partner with other G&A teams such as Accounting and FP&A on budgetary items and forecasting.
* Experience with managing global benefits.
* Participate in the planning, design, and development of programs to meet on-boarding, training, and staff development needs.
* Responsible for senior leadership reporting on various People Operations metrics.
* Foster an environment that effectively communicates and supports the values and mission of the organization.
* Manage and assess organizational development and training needs of operating business and functional units in conjunction with the L&D Director.
* Ensure timely performance evaluation of staff and recommends promotions, salaries, and bonuses.
* Develop strong business partnerships and credibility with colleagues.
Background Requirements and Preferred Experience
The following qualifications and experiences are considered foundational requirements for this role:
* Previous experience as a senior specialist and leader in faced paced People Operations environments essential.
* Exceptional relationship building skills at all levels of the organization assuring the People Team is seen as trusted employee and business advisors.
* Able to autonomously balance people needs with business objectives.
* Experience in HR budgeting and vendor management.
* Strong integrity and ability to discretely handle sensitive, confidential information is essential.
* Experience of working in companies of comparable size (approx. 650 FTE) and geographical complexity (approx. 20 countries) desirable.
* Strong knowledge of HR standards, employment laws and industry standards.
* Experience working with and advising senior leaders is essential.
* Proficiency with MS Office.
* Proficiency in another foreign language, particularly but not limited to French is desirable.
