Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join Akari Care as a Cook in one of their award-winning homes. You will play a pivotal role in creating delicious, nutritious, and personalized meals for the residents, ensuring they have a positive dining experience. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar environment, a passion for caring for the elderly, and a commitment to providing excellent service. Main duties of the job As the Cook, you will have the autonomy to create menus, plate up and arrange food trollies in an attractive way to stimulate the residents' appetite. You will be part of a united and extended care team, with the opportunity to coach and develop a team. The role requires a City & Guilds 706 1&2 or equivalent qualification, a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and previous experience as a Head Chef or Head Cook in a similar environment. You should have a caring nature, the ability to lead by example, and a flexible and adaptable approach to changes.
