THE ROLE
Our Client is recruiting for a Quality Manager based in their Avonmouth office. They will support the project manager in implementing a new IMS for a new subsidiary, managing project quality from design to commissioning, and supporting the project team in assessing and supervising contractors and suppliers.
The Quality Manager will be directly managed by the Project Manager, responsible for the overall project.
The majority of activities will take place in the UK, with limited travel to France or Germany.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
For the project quality:
* Ensure overall project quality performance
* Support Project Management in mastering quality and regulatory requirements, including defining applicable quality requirements through contract analysis
* Participate in project quality risk and opportunity analysis; propose action plans
* Monitor the application of quality documentation to meet contractual and regulatory standards
* Contribute to or lead variation management activities
* Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders on quality topics
* Support deployment of quality OPEX tools
* Participate in audits and ensure their successful completion
* Assist with inspections
* Manage interactions with authorized bodies and safety authorities as needed
For the Integrated Managed System:
* Implement and promote IMS, defining its objectives
* Coordinate process reviews and lead management reviews to assess IMS performance
* Manage and validate internal audit programs
* Oversee audits (second and third parties) within scope
* Validate awareness and training materials for Quality Culture
* Ensure process definitions are consistent and validated
* Participate in team performance evaluations and skills development
* Ensure changes in requirements are incorporated into the IMS
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
* Proven experience in IMS implementation and project quality management
* 7+ years in contributing to or implementing an IMS
* 4+ years managing or contributing to project quality systems
* Experience with contractors/suppliers quality management is a plus
Education:
* Master's degree in quality, technical discipline, or engineering
Personal Attributes:
* Rigorous and autonomous
* Capable of delivering IMS or project quality systems independently, supported by group knowledge
* Team-oriented
* Willing to travel within Europe, mainly France and Germany
