Salary: Scale PO3 £15,452 per annum (Actual gross salary)
Job Type: Permanent, Part Time, 14 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday), 39 weeks per year

About the role
We are seeking a Child Protection and Safeguarding Manager to work Monday and Tuesday each week, sharing the role with a colleague who works 3 days per week. You will support the Leadership team to provide a safe environment for students, leading on safeguarding issues, collaborating with the Designated Safeguarding Lead Coordinator, maintaining accurate and confidential documentation, attending relevant meetings, and acting as the School’s 'lead professional' for MASH referrals. The role also includes maintaining registers of Young Carers and students who are 'At Risk'.
Responsibilities
* Lead on safeguarding issues within the school and support the Leadership team to provide a safe environment.
* Maintain accurate, confidential and up‑to‑date documentation on all cases of safeguarding and child protection.
* Attend relevant meetings as required and serve as the School’s 'lead professional' in MASH referral cases.
* Maintain registers of Young Carers and students who are 'At Risk'.
Qualifications and Experience
* Knowledge of best practice in pastoral care and safeguarding.
* Knowledge of current educational issues.
* Experience working with vulnerable children/young people in education, social work or youth settings.
* Experience dealing with distressed or antisocial young people; at least 5 years of successful administrative experience.
* Degree level qualification or equivalent.
* Good skills in information management and IT.
