The Education Specialists are looking for an experienced chef to join our Liverpool school. A a school ccook, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the school kitchen, ensuring the quality and consistency of our menu offerings. Duties include, but not limited to - * Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes as provided, whilst ensuring the quality is never compromised * Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets expectations * Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies * Work on your feet, be very reactive and execute daily specials as well as menu changes * Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times * Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including proper storage of ingredients * Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations before, during and after service Requirements for the role - * Solid experience in food preparation, preferably in a restaurant, school or care home * Experience of working in a fast and high pressured envrioment * Competent in a variety of different cooking techniques * Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment * Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices * Level 2 Food & Hygeiene Certificate A full enhanced DBS is required for this role, which we can arrange for you.
