Back End Developer
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne / Hybrid Working

The Role
This role is firmly rooted in back end engineering, focusing on the robust logic and distributed systems that power our 3D engines.
The Person
* You have a passion for server‑side logic, data integrity, and system performance.
* You enjoy deconstructing complex issues in distributed environments.
* You have experience supporting the delivery of significant features and are ready to learn how to build at a global scale.
* You are happy to pivot between back‑end architecture and front‑end adjustments depending on the needs of our automotive clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain the services that form the backbone of our visualisation platform.
* Assist in the support of high availability and self‑healing, fault‑tolerant systems to ensure zero downtime for our global partners.
* Utilize full‑stack development knowledge to troubleshoot and implement front‑end updates that interact with our back‑end APIs.
* Work within a complex ecosystem of distributed systems, ensuring data flows efficiently from our databases to the end‑user.
Technical Experience
* Python: Solid professional experience building server‑side applications.
* Node.js: Proficiency in developing and maintaining scalable APIs.
* MongoDB: Familiarity with No‑SQL database management and optimisation.
* Linux: Comfort working within and troubleshooting Linux environments.
* Kubernetes & Docker: Experience working with containerised applications.
Requirements
* 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
* A strong back‑end foundation with a proven ability to work across the full web stack when required.
* Understanding of cloud‑native principles and container orchestration.
* Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a high‑growth, innovative environment.
