The Role: • Providing and following up quotes • General Admin, paperwork • Samples recording and management. • Order processing Far East Orders • Liaising with customers via email and telephone. • Liaising with overseas suppliers (including European), primarily via email, seldom via telephone. • Quoting on large quantity stock orders and bespoke item orders, direct from the Far East. • Negotiation of pricing, lead times, and order specifics with suppliers. • Customer credit checks via DRA and Finance Dept. • Processing orders should they be transferred from quote to order stage. Addition to order software – Maginus, and potential other systems/files/sheets. • Arrange swatches, pre-production samples from suppliers, for the customer. • Assisting with shipping of products including calculating currency conversions, duty costs and freight costs • Placement and tracking of order with suppliers. • Chasing and applying pressure to suppliers in relation to lead times, schedules, and obligations. • Inspection Report review and approval/rejection. • Monitoring of stock re-works. • Ensuring shipments, and subsequent tracking. • Managing customer lead time/schedule expectations. • Liaison with UK warehouse to confirm receipt of goods and to arrange despatch. • Confirm deliveries to customers. Provide POD’s. • After-sales - dealing with customer issues, e.g. Print, Delivery queries. • After-sales – liaising with suppliers/factories, should issues arise. • Recording of all relevant order details and liaisons from start to finish, and any additional follow-up.
