Daily Rate: £120 per day
Pay: Weekly via PAYE (No Umbrella Fees)
Hours: Monday to Friday / 08:15 - 15:00 / Full-Time for the academic year

Are you a Psychology or Criminology graduate (or currently studying) looking to gain meaningful, hands‑on experience in education?

We are currently recruiting Behaviour & Learning Mentors to work within supportive and forward‑thinking secondary schools across Cardiff, supporting pupils in Key Stage 3 and 4.
About the Role
As a Behaviour & Learning Mentor, you’ll play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and thrive both emotionally and academically.
You will support young people with:
* Emotional wellbeing and mental health
* Behaviour, self‑regulation, and resilience
* Engagement, confidence, and academic progress
You’ll work closely with teachers, SENCo teams, and pastoral staff to deliver tailored, impactful support.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs
* Support behaviour and learning intervention plans
* Encourage positive behaviour, focus, and emotional regulation
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Collaborate with staff and families to support student progress

What We’re Looking For
* Psychology, Criminology, or related degree (studying or completed)
* Passion for mental health, education, and child development
* Strong communication and emotional intelligence
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability
* Experience with young people is desirable but not essential (full training provided)
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS (on Update Service or willingness to apply)
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* Two recent professional references
* Up‑to‑date CV
* Safeguarding training (provided)
