Binnies Peterborough, England, United Kingdom. Binnies, an RSK Group company, is looking for a Site Manager to join us as part of our @one Alliance.
What will you be doing as our new Site Manager?
Based on designated sites, you’ll lead supervisors, delivery teams and subcontractors ensuring resources are utilised to an optimum level to meet budgets and delivery programmes to the highest quality and safety standards. You’ll play a key role in ensuring operational issues are flagged to Project Delivery Managers whilst encouraging your team to work in a proactive and innovative fashion to solve on-site issues and keep projects on track.
Responsibilities
* Provide active positive leadership of Health & Safety on site to support and continue the industry leading low incident frequency rate.
* Drive cultural change into the Delivery/Design Teams to eliminate/minimise physical and non-physical waste (e.g., recycling techniques and standing time).
* Oversee the management of site-based Supervisors, Delivery Teams and relevant areas of the supply chain to drive timely completion of projects, safely and within budget.
* Coach and mitigate underperformance of site team members to reduce conflict and optimise performance.
* Ensure all initiatives are supported and implemented with minimal disruption by understanding preliminary and detailed design/project requirements and solutions.
* Maintain key site documentation including Health & Safety, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, site changes and contracts to meet legislation and @one standards.
* Specify procurement requirements of plant, materials and specialist subcontractors using an appropriate financial management accounting system.
* Work closely with project teams and program planner through online portals to proactively manage site performance.
* Participate in collaborative planning and project rehearsals to ensure optimal buildability at design stage.
* Promote on-site quality workmanship with a right-first-time approach; highlight and record defects proactively and rectify in a timely manner.
Qualifications and experience
Required: certificate in Site Safety Management (or attendance at a 5-day course) and a managerial CSCS card. Extensive Water (Water Recycling advantageous), Mechanical and Electrical/Construction industry experience. Attendance of SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme), First Aid at Work courses and a certified Fire Marshall.
Additional: strong site leadership with commercial acumen to minimise cost and maximise value during project construction phases. Proficiency with Microsoft Office for requirement administration and basic project/programme management. Lead by example with fairness and assertiveness, aligned with safety and innovation values.
