We’re looking for an experienced HR Administrator to join the central HR team of one of the UK’s largest and most respected construction companies. This is a role for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced HR Shared Services environment and is ready to take the lead on administration within a busy team.
Responsibilities
Manage high-volume HR administration, supporting 30–40 new starters each month and the full employee lifecycle administration
Maintain and update case management systems with accuracy and confidentiality
Take ownership of auditing HR records to ensure compliance and data integrity
Act as the first point of contact for the admin team and wider business stakeholders
Contribute to and lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency
Support with governance and HR policy compliance across the business
Collaborate with 5 HR Administrators, a Team Leader, and an Operations Manager to deliver a first-class shared service
Skills & Experience Needed
Proven HR administration experience in a shared service or high-volume environment
Confidence in using HR systems and case management tools
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to proactively lead on tasks and support colleagues within a team
Experience in auditing, process improvement, and governance support
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in a changing environment
