Job Summary:
Echelon Supply and Service is seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance function in support of our defense and industrial operations. This is a critical leadership position responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across our product portfolio, which supports military readiness and mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in quality systems, government contracting, and team development—with a passion for upholding the integrity that our customers and warfighters depend on.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the Quality Assurance team to meet performance expectations aligned with Echelon’s standards and defense industry requirements.
* Design, implement, and continuously improve quality control processes that comply with government, customer, and regulatory specifications.
* Prepare, review, and validate quality documentation including First Article Tests (FAT), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), AS9100 reports, and other compliance materials.
* Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to establish and meet quality objectives that support company and customer goals.
* Manage quality metrics, audits, and internal reviews; lead root cause analyses and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure ongoing process improvement.
* Maintain and enhance Echelon’s AS9100 and ISO certifications by facilitating audits and ensuring audit readiness.
* Serve as the quality liaison for defense contracts—ensuring flawless execution, documentation accuracy, and responsiveness to government customers.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Management or Quality Engineering role in a manufacturing or defense-related environment.
* Deep understanding of AS9100, ISO standards, PPAP, FAT, and related quality processes.
* Experience with quality audits, compliance reporting, and corrective action planning.
* Familiarity with DoD supply chain standards and government contract quality assurance requirements.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with quality management software is a plus.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work across departments to influence outcomes.
* Quality certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA, Six Sigma) are highly desirable.
* Familiarity with government contracting and supply chain requirements is a plus.
