Site Manager
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager/Supervisor from the mechanical engineering, industrial or fabrication sectors. The role involves overseeing engineering-based sites and installations, ensuring safe, timely and profitable delivery. The position is 42 hours per week with overseas travel required and requires a full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
* Oversee activities of designated site installations and teams, providing guidance, control and structure to the decision‑making processes.
* Manage site resources to achieve cost‑effective project objectives.
* Oversee the installation phase, liaising with site personnel, customers, suppliers, sub‑contractors and internal departments.
* Ensure sites and installation activities provide budgetary control and improve departmental performance.
* Prepare RAMS, lift/crane plans and HSEQ documents to comply with regulations.
* Assist in site audits, inspections, surveys and pre‑site visits for all projects.
* Plan and execute installations according to operating policy while maintaining a professional image.
* Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed manner.
* Manage suppliers and sub‑contractors to improve safety, performance and profit.
Qualifications
* Recognised engineering trade qualification.
* Experience in a similar role within mechanical engineering, industrial or fabrication sectors.
* Hands‑on supervision of engineering‑based site installations.
* Knowledge of multi‑disciplinary engineering techniques.
* Understanding of all stages of the site installation process, with ability to support the team.
* Capability to identify site requirements and develop delivery plans.
* Strong client, supplier, contractor and colleague engagement skills.
* Ability to manage conflicting workload demands.
* Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK wide and overseas.
