Salary up to £65,000 based on experience ( on -site role South Kensington )
Founded in 1973 our client is one of the best known and well respected independent college brands in the UK. It comprises three fifth-form and sixth-form colleges in three key locations across the UK ( London / Birmingham and Cambridge )
Purpose of the Role
To lead and manage the HR Function for our client working closely with their parent company, providing advice and guidance to the School Leadership Team and business managers on employment issues
Key Responsibilities
* Provide sound ,commercial and solutions -focused advice on the full range of HR issues ,with particular expertise in recruitment and employee relations .
* Act as coach as well as an advisor to managers on performance issues and conflict resolution
* Work closely with the CEO ,Board and SLTs providing advice and guidance on all HR issues
* Managing cases of dispute that have the potential to lead to Employment Tribunals proceedings
* Develop, review, update and implement HR policies according to compliance and business needs and implement and maintain (Workday)
* Advise ,train and support on recruitment and selection and take responsibility for the school recruitment process including creating /updating Job descriptions /Person specifications /the creation and placing of adverts involvement in interviews and administering pre- employment checks
* Advise on compensation and Benefits
* Deliver training to line managers in key HR areas
Experience and Skills Needed
Excellent Knowledge of UK employment law
Experience of the Workday System ( Desirable )
Coaching and mentoring experience
Previous experience of dealing with ER issues
Strong recruitment and selection experience
Exceptional people skills
Excellent IT skills
Proven experience of providing HR advice to senior staff and managers
