Overview

Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Customer Service Manager - Distribution to join the Oswestry area. Hours: 7.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am - 12pm.


Responsibilities

* Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects.
* Get to know product lines to offer help and advice.
* Ensure the team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning.
* Help to process and prepare customer orders; load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck (training provided).
* Work as direct support to the management team and act as a keyholder when needed.
* Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products.
* Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, conducting regular stock counts.
* Keep the branch clean and tidy and prioritise Health & Safety.
* Lead a small team and collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Skills And Experience

* A positive team leader with a customer-first mindset.
* Enthusiasm for dealing with customers and a proactive attitude toward service.
* Confident working both indoors and outdoors with a strong focus on Health & Safety.
* Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items.
