Commercial projects – Renewable Energies

Temporary 8 week contract – £300pd

This is an 8 week contract role working with a leading solar PV installations & renewable energy contractor, who’s primary focus is working on commercial properties. Based in Devon and Cornwall, they take on contracts all around the UK designing, supplying & maintaining outstanding renewable energy packages.

Our client is seeking an experienced site manager in Portsmouth, that would ideally come from an M&E, electrical or renewable energy background.
You would support the existing team on a key NHS project.

Available benefits:

2. Weekends at 1.5 (Time & a half)

Requirements (Please note: We do not necessarily need all of the below to apply)

4. Site or Project management experience.
5. Solar & renewable energy experience (preferable but not essential)
6. CSCS card
7. SMSTS
8. First aid
9. Driving licence (Essential)
10. A site or project management qualification: E.G – NVQ, Prince 2, bachelors degree etc. (Not essential but preferable)
11. Ability to work within a team
12. Professional at all times.
13. Good work ethic.
14. Good timekeeping.
15. Must be versatile, willing to adapt to different tasks, a team player.

Job Spec

16. Site Management.
17. Guide & manage solar PV projects to completion, ensuring project milestones are met.
18. Develop and maintain project schedules.
19. Manage deliveries.
20. Site set up.
21. Pre-construction health and safety requirements met with site access and efficiency.
22. Construction health and safety requirements met with site access, signs, walk ways, yard set out for maximum efficiency.
23. Welfare is compliant and maintained.
24. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project objectives are achieved and delivered safely.
25. Provide oversight and guidance to subcontractors throughout the project when needed.

28. Maintaining site diary.
29. Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and best practices.
30. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities and locals.
31. Ensure transparent and timely communication with clients.
32. Ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.
33. Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications.
