We are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking professional to join our People Services team as an Assistant HR Officer - Projects. This is a full time 6-month secondment (37 hours per week), offering a salary starting at £33,699 (Grade 5 - subject to Job Evaluation). You will provide high-quality project and operational support across People Services, helping deliver improvement initiatives, policy development, and people-focused projects. Working collaboratively, you will help ensure fair, consistent and effective practices across the Service.
Project Support
* Coordinate and support People Services projects, ensuring activities are organised and aligned to priorities.
* Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
* Gather, analyse and report on workforce data and project progress.
* Support workshops, engagement activities, and consultation processes.
* Prepare clear updates and reports for stakeholders.
* Help implement improved processes, tools and templates.
* Identify trends, risks and opportunities to enhance employee experience.
HR Support
* Provide timely advice and guidance to managers and employees.
* Support meetings, including scheduling, documentation and note-taking.
* Maintain accurate records in line with data protection requirements.
* Contribute to digital system improvements within People Services.
* Keep up to date with HR best practice and employment law.
* Actively support your own development and uphold Service values.
Qualifications
* Experience supporting projects or process improvements, including managing deadlines.
* Experience gathering and analysing data, identifying trends, and reporting findings.
* Experience developing policies/procedures, with awareness of equality and inclusion.
