This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, high standards and a passion for delivering exceptional food service within a prestigious independent school environment.Working closely with the Catering & Events Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of catering services, hospitality operations and compliance standards across the site.The RoleAs Deputy Catering Manager, you will support the effective management of all catering and hospitality services, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, customer service and operational efficiency are consistently achieved.You will also deputise in the absence of the Catering & Events Manager, taking full operational responsibility when required.Key responsibilities include:Supporting the management and supervision of the catering operation in line with client expectations and Sodexo standardsLeading, motivating and developing catering teams to deliver an exceptional dining experienceMaintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, HACCP and health & safety complianceConducting risk assessments and ensuring all relevant training is completed and recordedManaging hospitality and event catering operations, including production, service and clear downEnsuring all dietary requirements and allergen controls are managed with due care and attentionSupporting payroll administration, stock control, invoice processing and financial reportingAssisting with stock takes, sales recording and system administration using EprophITBuilding strong working relationships with front and back of house teams, school stakeholders and clientsDriving service improvements, operational efficiency and high-performance standards throughout the departmentAbout YouWe are looking for a confident and professional catering leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding standards.You will ideally have:Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within catering, hospitality or food serviceStrong leadership and people management skillsExcellent organisational and communication abilitiesA proactive and solutions-focused approachExperience managing compliance within food safety and health & safety frameworksGood financial and administrative awarenessThe ability to work calmly and effectively under pressureStrong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applicationsHigh standards of professionalism, attention to detail and customer careExperience within education, independent schools or high-volume hospitality environments would be advantageous.Why Join Sodexo at LVS Ascot?Working with Sodexo at LVS Ascot offers far more than just a job.
