We are currently supporting a £40m turnover regional general contractor who are looking to appoint a Freelance Site Manager for an industrial new build scheme in Welwyn Garden City.
The project is already underway and will run through to August 2026, with the opportunity to move onto a follow-on scheme locally thereafter, with possibility of moving to permanent also.
Project Overview:
Construction of two steel frame industrial units with concrete pads
Cladding and roofing packages responsibility
Basic MEP coordination
Approx. £7m project value
You will be working under a Project Manager, taking responsibility for driving day-to-day site operations and ensuring programme is maintained.
We are looking for someone who:
* Is a hands-on Site Manager who can drive the job forward
* Has experience delivering steel frame / industrial units / sheds
* Is confident managing subcontractors and programme
* Comfortable coordinating cladding, roofing and MEP packages
This is a long-term freelance opportunity with a well-regarded regional contractor and potential continuation onto a second project nearby.
