Site Manager – Yarm Road
Salary: Starting at £37,477 per annum
Hours: 45 Hours per week

As a Site Manager at J&B Recycling, part of FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the Yarm Road site. You will lead site staff, ensure health, safety and environmental standards are met, deliver customer expectations, and manage operations in line with budget and performance targets.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days a week, with flexibility required to meet operational needs.

What will you be doing?
•Managing the day-to-day operation of the Yarm Road site
•Ensuring the health and safety of all staff, contractors and visitors
•Implementing and maintaining FCC Environment’s SHEQ policies and procedures
•Ensuring compliance with environmental permits and statutory requirements
•Managing site performance to achieve agreed revenue, profit and budget targets
•Leading, developing and motivating site staff to achieve operational KPIs
•Ensuring efficient and safe handling of waste materials
•Liaising with customers, regulators and external stakeholders, including the Environment Agency
•Managing site inspections, audits and reporting
•Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site presentation
•Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency
•Operating Mobile Plant as and when required
What are we looking for?
•Experience in managing operations within a regulated or industrial environment
•Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance
•Proven people management and leadership skills
•Experience of managing budgets and operational costs
•Knowledge of environmental permitting (desirable)
•Relevant CoTC or equivalent qualification (desirable)
•Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills
•A proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to lead by example
